How much does it cost to post a listing?
Equipment-for-sale listings are a one-time fee, paid once via Stripe when you post: Basic A$19, Standard A$42, or Featured A$78, depending on placement and how many photos you can add.
Why is hire/service pricing different?
Equipment-for-hire and service listings stay live indefinitely and can keep generating enquiries for as long as they're posted, so instead of a one-off fee they run as a subscription: Basic A$20/mo, Standard A$40/mo, or Featured A$70/mo — or pay yearly for roughly 15% off (A$199 / A$399 / A$699 per year). The subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
How do I cancel a hire/service subscription?
Open your listing from "My listings," and use the "Manage subscription" button — this takes you to Stripe's own secure billing portal where you can cancel, update your card, or view past invoices. Deleting the listing itself also cancels the subscription automatically.
What happens if a subscription payment fails or lapses?
The listing is taken down from public browsing (not deleted) until it's renewed. You can bring it back any time with the "Renew subscription" button on the listing page, at the same tier and billing period.
Can I change tiers later?
Sale listings can be upgraded to a higher tier at any time for a top-up fee. For hire/service listings, the tier is fixed for the life of a subscription — to change it, cancel via "Manage subscription" and start a new one at the tier you want.
Buying & enquiries
How do I contact a seller?
Every listing has an enquiry form on its page — fill it in and it goes straight to the seller's contact details as they've listed them. Boneyard Exchange doesn't manage payment or delivery between buyer and seller directly; that's arranged between the two parties.
Is payment on the site secure?
Listing fees and subscriptions are processed through Stripe's secure checkout — Boneyard Exchange never sees or stores your card details.
Accounts
Do I need an account to post a listing?
No — you can post without signing up, using an unguessable link to manage that listing. Creating an account with email sign-in makes it easier to manage multiple listings in one place and keeps them tied to you if you lose the link.
